Poddar Business School organized a Faculty Development Program on “Role of Academicians in Creating an Ecosystem for Startups” on September 3, 2022 at Poddar Business School Campus, Sitapura, Jaipur. The FDP was attended by faculty members of various colleges, and distinguished guests, Chairman Poddar Group of Institutions Dr. Anand Poddar, Mr. Rahul Mishra, Mr. Arun Agarwal, and Mr. N.K.Jain.
The objective of the FDP was to make Academicians aware of their role in Creating an Ecosystem for Startups in the current scenario. Most of the UNICORN Startups have been started by IIT & IIM alumni who have undergone PGDM courses from these prestigious institutes. Moreover, the pandemic has badly affected the industries hence the job market has also been badly affected.
Hence the best option for the job seekers is to focus on innovation and entrepreneurship/ startups and change from job seekers to job creators. Here the role of academicians is crucial in guiding and helping the students develop their own startups and focus on entrepreneurship.
