Overview and Background
A commitment to build enduring partnerships with private enterprises for development of the state and prosperity of our people, was the agenda behind organizing Invest Rajasthan Summit 2022, according to Mr. Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, who inaugurated the Summit along with Honorable Industry Minister of Rajasthan Mrs. Shakuntala Rawat.
This was in fact an invitation to the investors from the Honorable Chief Minister to experience and benefit from the bouquet of exciting opportunities that the state has to offer, and to collaborate in creating a promising and favorable future.
Participation
Dr. Anand Poddar, Chairman of Poddar Group of Institutions (PGI) and Mr. Akhilesh Saxena, Program Director of PBS participated as Delegates in the program. The participation was on behalf of Poddar Business School (PBS) in the ambitious endeavor of the Government of Rajasthan held on Friday, October 07 and Saturday, October 08, 2022 at JECC Sitapura in Jaipur. Eventually, the Summit turned out to be a huge success where nearly 3000 delegates across the country participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Mr. Gautam Adani, Mr. C. K. Birla, Mr. Anil Agrawal of Vedanta and many iconic industrialists along with other Ministers of the Government of Rajasthan graced the grand Investment Program with their gracious presence and commitments. Poddar Group team also witnessed the glimpses of the investment scenario in the state through this Summit.
Relevance
Likewise, the Summit also encompassed Conclaves on Tourism, Agri-business and Start-up Techniques providing the roadmap to investment prospects in Rajasthan. The Conclaves emphasized on the prospects of essential skills for investment as many opportunities are available in these sectors. Considering the bright prospects of these three core areas, Poddar Business School’s Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), has already encapsulated these areas in its modules of specialization.
The most interesting part is that the Conclaves are not only relevant Case Studies for Investment and growth, but also fruitful backdrop to the aspirants from the perspective of Management. This is because in the coming years, highly efficient Managers and enlightened Leaders are required to make the investment landscape better in the state. Besides, more opportunities for investments are available in the above-mentioned core areas.
Highlights
The highlight of the event was a declaration done by Adani Group to invest a huge amount of INR 65000 Crores in Rajasthan in addition to the commitment of creating 40000 new jobs in the state of Rajasthan.
Furthermore, another feature of the Summit was the proclamation of total investment of INR 10 Lakh Crore, providing a phenomenal benefit to the people of Rajasthan as nearly 10 Lakhs of jobs prospects would be created in in the following two to three years. This will render an incredible opportunities to the Management Graduates, IT Students and Engineers along with the other students, in general.
Moreover, eighteen new industrial locations and twenty-five new RIICO industrial areas are being developed at Rajasthan to provide the best infrastructure and support system for the credible investments in the coming future.
Outcome
Dr. Anand Poddar had personal interactions with Dr. Subhash Garg, Honorable Mnister of State (MoS) for Technical Education, with Mr. Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Honorable Minister for Transport, and Mr. Bhanwar Singh Bhati, Honorable MoS for Power and Water Resources, Government of Rajasthan to discuss on various parameters paving way for the participation from Poddar Group of Institution to contribute prominently to the development and growth of the state. In Addition, there were fruitful discussions with the delegates of various sectors like Power, Transport and various other sectors.
